New Resources About Cultures

A play about the Lenape (also called Delaware Indians) written by Rita Kohn and Rebecca Martin (Pueblo of Acoma) for the festival in the late 1990s, led to a second play, a curriculum guide, a book, and a documentary—all still in use today as critical learning resources about indigenous people in Indiana. These successes led to the establishment of the Indiana American Indian Theatre Company in 2000.
