Community-based projects are supported

In 2019, Community Engagement Director LaShawnda Crowe Storm advised the Community Alliance of the Far East Side (Quality of Life Plan development and design of the first Far East Side Festival), Indianapolis Sustainability Summit (equity frameworks), and the SoAR Initiative, a Polis Center initiative examining the state of Central Indiana elders. These engagements opened doors to create new relationships and weave distinctive partnerships that encourage the use of the arts, humanities, and religion as civic tools.
