Wildstyle is a lifelong musician, roller skater, and long-time hip-hop producer who took up photography when he was concerned the rich creative culture of the Indianapolis hip hop scene wasn’t getting the documentation it needed. Wildstyle’s photography initially focused solely on the hip hop scene but soon shifted to include neighborhood events and other aspects of the arts community that would eventually be featured in exhibits at the Tube Factory, Athenaeum, Listen Hear, Gallery 924, Indianapolis Central Library, and Indianapolis International Airport.
Wildstyle’s art installation Identify is a captivating look at the artistic and spiritual practices at gatherings and celebrations that Central Indiana communities use to identify and define themselves.
