The Rhythm of Us: Interfaith Understanding Through the Art of Music

November 10, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm

With performances representing different religious traditions and opportunities for participation, attendees will explore how music conveys who we are as individuals, groups, and cultures throughout time.

Music is an especially powerful way to express identity in a pluralistic world. Musicians performing across faith traditions and genres will engage participants in a broader conversation about how we convey who we are, as individuals and as groups, through singing, chanting, and instrumental performances. More information can be found at FranklinCollege.edu/interfaitharts.

Featured musicians and performers include vocalist Maegan Pollonais; chanters Vasanthi (Indu) Vasudevan and Constantine (Dean) Maniakas; and pianist Chang Shen.

Check out the performance schedule at Franklin.College.edu/interfaitharts.

A partnership between Franklin College, Franklin Symphonic Council, Center for Interfaith Cooperation, and Miss Polly’s Music Class.
