SUMMARY:Powerful Conversations on Race - Exterminate All the Brutes\, Pt. 2
DESCRIPTION:Powerful Conversations on Race [PCR] is a monthly community dialogue series exploring topics around race and racism and the resulting impact. \nPowerful Conversations on Race is a way for us to get comfortable talking about uncomfortable histories and is\, therefore\, rooted in historical documents and subject matter. \nThis IS NOT a lecture or book club\, but a space for community to come together and dive deeply into a variety of topics concerning race. This is an immersive experience. As such\, we’ll spend a considerable amount of time in small groups to dialogue with each other about these topics. \nFor the March 2023 dialogue\, we will continue to watch and discuss the documentary “Exterminate All the Brutes\,” which dives into the historical context of white supremacy and whiteness. The documentary is approximately 1 hour long and will be followed by 1 hour of dialogue.  \nAll dialogues are virtual and occur on Eastern Standard Time / Eastern Daylight Time. \nRegistration ends at 12noon on the day of the event. A Zoom link will be sent prior to the event date.

SUMMARY:Spirit & Place Festival Applicant Info Session (March 29 at 4pm)
DESCRIPTION:Learn more about Spirit & Place and its annual festival of events during an hour-long info session via Zoom. Any member of the community – from independent scholars and artists to organizational and congregational representatives – interested in learning more about the festival application and selection process are encouraged to attend. Five sessions in total are offered and the same information will be presented during each session. “Live” attendance with your camera turned on for part of the session is encouraged so that you can ask questions and also meet other interested community members. \nRegister using the button below. \nCan’t make one of the scheduled sessions?
