Event Description:

Songs of struggle and tales of triumph illuminate the common hope to find one’s “place in the choir.” This interdisciplinary performance explores the heartaches of rejection and the joys of finding acceptance, love, and generosity inside communities and congregations. As the song All God’s Critters Got a Place in the Choir says, “Everybody here is part of the plan, we all get to play in the great critter band. From the eagle in the sky to the whale in the sea, it’s one great symphony!” Enjoy choral music as well as original poetry, monologues, and songs created by chorus members. Q&A with Artistic Director Pam Blevins Hinkle and chorus members will follow. This event, which is ASL interpreted, occurs on November 17 and 18. Refer to event date for times and locations. Tickets are $18 for adults; $15 for students with ID, seniors age 60+, and groups of 10 or more; $5 for children 2 – 12 years. Purchase tickets at Outward Bound (625 N. East St.) or from any chorus member. Discount coupons for $3 off (adult tickets only) are available from chorus members and at various locations. Visit for more details. Presented by the Indianapolis Women’s Chorus of IndyChoruses and Park Tudor School.
