A walk through an old-growth forest brings participants face to face with pioneering botanist E. Lucy Braun, who’s early 20th century fieldwork, scholarship, and advocacy laid the foundation for forest conservation today.
This event features a guided tour by Central Indiana Land Trust Executive Director and botanist Cliff Chapman, nature-themed poetry Kevin McKelvey, and an interactive performance by Timepiece Theatre Company.
Participants will meet at Meltzer Woods in Shelbyville. This event involves walking over uneven terrain and will be conducted rain or shine. Space is limited to accommodate social distancing needs.
