Spoken word, dance, and music are combined in this innovative and interdisciplinary production that artfully interprets diverse poems. Experience works by local poets as well as poetry from Rainer Maria Rilke, Kurt Schwitters, and Czeslaw Milosz. Presenters include Deborah Asante, founder/director, Asante Children’s Theatre; Michael Atwood, “Across Indiana” host; Richard Brendan, president and founder, JourneysFire International; and Norbert Krapf, Indiana’s poet laureate. Butler University presenters/performers include students as well as faculty members Ulf Goebel, adjunct professor of English; Susan McGuire, associate professor of dance; Cynthia Pratt, associate professor of dance; and Diane Timmerman, professor of theater.
