Event Description:

How do faith communities move beyond the enormity of global climate change to take action within their congregation and community? Learn how to implement sustainable changes and network with successful local initiatives in this workshop led by Dr. Gabriel Filippelli, associate director of the Center for Environmental Health, and Rev. Richard Clough, First Congregational Church-United Church of Christ. Following their presentations, three breakout sessions will be offered for congregations that are 1) just beginning to address this issue, 2) looking for more ideas and inspiration, or 3) ready to expand activities within and outside their congregation. Participants will also enjoy a related exhibit of paintings by Indianapolis Art Center instructor Farideh Peacock. Admission is free. Presented by Interfaith Alliance Indianapolis and First Congregational Church-United Church of Christ.
