Celebrate the generous spirit of peace and the abundant riches of the community with arts activities, ritual, and celebration. Saturday opens with the Symposium of Peace Makers (8:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.) where panelists will discuss peace beyond the absence of conflict. From 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m., the Community Volunteer Fair will provide opportunities to learn about and get involved in organizations that serve the community. After 5:00 p.m., enjoy a $5 dinner extravaganza, open mike, and drumming circle. Sunday’s Peace Pitch-In begins at 3:00 p.m. and features a joyful celebration of thanksgiving, peace, and unity. Enjoy inclusive entertainment for all ages, including a potluck meal and a candlelit moment to signify our shared intention for world peace. Sunday participants should bring a covered dish to share, a raw vegetable to contribute to the Stone Soup to feed the hungry, a drum if you have one, and a willingness to meet new friends in peace and harmony. The Stone Soup will be distributed to shelters in Indianapolis. Presented by Global Peace Initiatives, The Church Within, and The School of Metaphysics.
