Kathy Licht

Kathy  Licht Kathy Licht is an Associate Professor of Earth Sciences at IUPUI.  She maintains a vigorous research program studying the Antarctic ice sheet’s response to Earth’s changing climate over time.  Licht was awarded a Marie Tharp Fellowship from Columbia University and spent three months in residence at the Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory.  With funding from the National Science Foundation, Licht has led 3 research excursions to Antarctica resulting in numerous peer-reviewed publications. Licht participated in PolarPalooza!, a national and international tour of cities to engage with the public in dialogue about climate change and the science behind it. She has a Ph.D. in geological sciences from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
