This panel discussion and workshop reveals what parents, schools, and communities can do to help girls reverse negative body images. Bring your girl for activities that build inner strength from confidence.

Subject experts will discuss the trends, behaviors, and issues they are observing, provide resources to help parents, and explore what our community can do to reverse negative body images and low self-esteem. The audience will participate in a hands-on activity, participate in a Q&A session with panelists, and explore available resources at a community fair.

Panelists will include: Jennifer Pope Baker, Women’s Fund of Central Indiana; Pat Wachtel, Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis; Deborah Hearn Smith, Girl Scouts of Central Indiana; Dr. Virginia Caine, Marion County Health Department; and Sue Donohoe, NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball.

Presented by Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis, Girl Scouts of Indiana, and Women’s Fund of Central Indiana. Questions? Call 317-283-0086 or email info.indy@girlsincindy.org. Register online here.
