Event Description:

Many Americans are unaware of the impact that the recent health care reforms will have on access, cost, and quality. Learn the facts during our panel discussion, Q&A session, and information fair.

Three Franklin College students--Cassy Bogdon, José Gallardo, and William Hilgendorf--who took an intensive course on the United States health care system, will give presentations on the access, cost, and quality of the system. Following this, attendees will be invited to ask questions relating to health care reform to panelists Bill Drew (Principal Partner with Locasio Hadden & Dennis) and Robert Stone (Director and Co-Founder of Hoosiers for a Commonsense Health Plan and the State Coordinator in Indiana for Physicians for a National Health Program). The session will be moderated by Dr. Denise Baird, Franklin College Associate Professor of Sociology and co-instructor of the course on the U.S. health care system. The information fair will give attendees the opportunity to meet and interact with representatives of different Johnson County organizations that focus on health.
